Same. I don't have a facial scar, but an eight-inch long one on my chest (it takes up the entirety of my sternum, really) from open heart surgery that's really, REALLY obvious and has been like that since I've had it. There's nothing badassed or sexy about it. It causes a lot of self-image problems and insecurities and to this day I still hate it, even though it was necessary.

I'm sorry it's so hard for you - that sucks. I hope it's not because people have made you feel that way about it.

Maybe it's not so much that 'scars are sexy!!' but how the person carries them. Padma Lakshmi of 'Top Chef' fame has a big scar on her arm from a car accident. She was a model, and would cover it, but then a photographer said 'no, don't' and basically...she doesn't cover it anymore.

And i think she is one classy, sexy woman and i'm not looking at the scar and salivating but looking at *her* and seeing how she doesn't hide it, or highlight it, it just *is*, and you can take her or leave her.
