You're definitely not the only one! Personally, I'm just not into KH enough to act on it. I kinda wanted to write fic after finishing CoM and then again after KH2... then my KH phase passed and no fic had come out of it. Still, it remains my favourite friendship in those games :)

Not the same characters, or even the same fandom, but I certainly know the feeling.

While I don't like those two very much, I have to agree with you; their friendship always struck me as very sincere and admirable. Mickey took a chance trusting someone who had chosen Darkness, despite his personal beliefs, and managed to pull Riku out of his dark place just by believing in him. I find that very sweet.

There's almost nothing for them? That's so disappointing; surely someone was intrigued enough to write about the time they spent together.

Buuuuut I'm pretty sure they actually ship Riku and Mickey together as, y'know, an item which is not my cuppa. I don't know though, perhaps you'll find something in their gallery or their favorites that's just friendshippin'.

I'd recommend more artists, but I'm not really attached to Kingdom Hearts fandom, just sorta Mickey fandom in general~

I always thought their friendship was pretty cute.

Chances are if you've looked around, you've already seen this, but Roads Take You to the Heart (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4645849/1/Roads_Take_You_to_the_Heart) by Nicole Silverwolf is an adorable story focused on Mickey and Riku.

I've also been planning to write a story based around their friendship starting from Chain of Memories, but it's taking awhile to get it quite the way I want it. It's working title is "Come As You Are, No Perfect People Allowed" so if you're interested, OP, maybe keep your eye out for it. I'm not sure if it'll be what you're looking for, but I'd like to contribute some stuff for Riku and Mickey as well.

I love their friendship too, OP! It's definitely my favorite part of CoM. I should draw them more often...

I like their friendship too, OP! I think I have a few Riku+Mickey pictures in my KH folder(however most of them have Mickey being drawn as a human...not sure if you'd like that XD), but sadly I don't know how to link pictures, otherwise I'd have done that =/
