You should sue your sister. I'm not even kidding.
I know she's your family, and probably very dear to you, but she got you into trouble.

Basically, if you do nothing about her, it just means you donated money you didn't even have. If you can't manage to clear off your debts in time, the end results will be permanent and the damages irreversible.

I do this ALL the time. Whenever things are down, I think about Sakura's optimism and how I wish I could be her. And that even when things are insane and there's no light at the end of the tunnel, the words "Everything will be all right" is comforting. There is nothing wrong with that.

But whatever it is, I do hope you find a way to get your sister. When money's lost, it's hard to recover it (from where I am especially), but I really think you should face her and get her to be more responsible over her actions. *hugs* Be strong, everything will be all right.

This is exactly why I don't let people borrow large amounts of money from me, even if they are my own family. My parents did a similar thing...kept asking for more and more money to borrow from me (even though I'm a uni student with barely any money to begin with), would badmouth me when I asked for it back ("how could you do this to us! We're family"!), then the final straw was when I found out they weren't borrowing money for any legitimate need for cash. They were using it to renovate their fucking house and going on day trips to the goddamn city. >_>

This is not silly in any way shape or form. It has been my mantra since I was thirteen years old, trying to cope with my mother's cancer and subsequent death. It is still, to this day, my mantra. When times are hard, I tell myself "zettai daijoubu da yo."

I plan on getting it tattooed on my forearm over barely-visible scars from when I was a messed up fourteen year old, coping with a serious loss.

I wish you all the luck. I know how much that sucks to barely be getting by, and I am so sorry for your sister's betrayal. I do hope that she does pay you back, and I really hope things pick up.

I agree. I think her optimistic attitude really helps.

However, I really think you should pursue your sister into giving your money back. Saying the words does nothing. You've got to put your foot down with those words.
