Also, my headcanon is that an Emily Rose style possession only happens when someone's unwillingly possessed by an angel. Unfortunately, I'm not confident enough in my writing or vidding skills to portray this.

You can't be unwillingly possessed by an angel, though. it is explicitly canon that you have to say yes.

That's just because it's against their rules. They never said it's absolutely impossible. I'd imagine that if they were to inhabit an unwilling host, there would be a power struggle as they fought each other for control. Of course, the angel would probably win, but if Sam can get control of Lucifer for two seconds then I'm sure someone else can too if they try hard enough. I don't know, it just sounds cool to me.

I don't know. I don't get the impression that Lucifer is much of a rule follower, and there are other angels I can think of who seem okay with breaking the rules to get what they want, so it seems to me that it is impossible, not just not done.

Not that I don't agree that it is an interesting idea, because it is fascinating. But I don't think canon allows it. You could go really AU I guess, although most AUs still follow the rules of canon.

This is true. However, I kind of refuse to take their canon seriously in regards to this because it never made sense to me why Michael and Lucifer couldn't just duke it out in their natural forms. Neither of them seemed to care much about the world or humanity so I doubt they were worried about the damage it would cause.

I don't understand the second part with the roaches. As for being creepier I disagree. I thought the show was a perfect balance of action, drama and horror. Any more creep amperage and many would've been turned off.

My bad. The lame bit with the roaches has to do with a part in the movie where she is eating insects, referring to how the demons seem to be irrational and are just fucking around, being crazy. It'd be hard to get the show anywhere, plot wise, if its demons behaved as such.

I sort of agree with the commenter above. The show has become gory, but in my opinion it's lost whatever bit of creepiness it had.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose was a badass movie. I think that actress should have been more recognized for her awesome performance. Just here to say that.
