I should maybe have specified. Hunting and all that, totally, if anything it would feed into the Canadian stereotype. But it's not usually like that with Robin, it's just "lol Robin is packing heat always for some reason".

Most of the time, like I said, the Canadian jokes read to me like they aren't written by a Canadian. But maybe the jokes are supposed to not make sense? With HIMYM I can't tell. It also feels like they might just be picking and choosing random stereotypes from across Canada, so I never know whether something is made-up entirely or just a regional thing I've never heard of.

I thought the point of the hand gun joke was that gun control is so much stricter in Canada than the US or something. Which is why it's funny that Robin is so into handguns? Idk.

IDK I'm just saying that Robin's penchant for hand guns is very un-Canadian. Not that she has to be typically Canadian in every single respect, just that it's rather opposed to the rest of her so-Canadian traits.
