okay not really but I think this convo left things pretty open for interpretation? He just implies that dating is not his thing at all. Doesn't mean he doesn't have a sex drive towards anyone.

...he's actually busy and not looking for a relationship? It does happen. Personally, I did the "married to my work" thing for close to three years, and I'm a horndog--I was really just not looking for a relationship at the time, and eventually I began one anyway.

I interpret it as someone who is very cerebral and sees people as a hindrance to doing what he is passionate about in life (solving crimes, stimulating his brain). I don't necessarily see it as him being incapable of attraction or sexuality, just as it not being high on the priority list.

For the record: I have no issue with him being seen as asexual by some fans. Personally I don't ship him with anyone. But I think it could go either way.
