(Anonymous) 2011-10-13 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)I know it's not as easy as I'm making it sound, but I mean it. If you keep expecting more out of other people than you expect of yourself, you will only be disappointed.
If you meant a situation such a having no one in your family love you and no friends, then I'm sorry. That sucks and it does make it harder, but seeking other people to love you won't work, since, subconsciously, you will keep looking for people who fall into the first patterns of personality and attitudes that you met, which are those of your parents, so you keep trapping yourself into the same problems.
Be happy for yourself, take care of yourself and genuinely, unconditionally love yourself for being you, and the rest sorts itself out sooner or later.
