I'm kind of with you in the boat that I think he's attractive, but I'm not personally attracted to him. Idk if that makes any sense. But I adore the idea of his character. I really should probably watch more Torchwood than I do. Didn't see that scene.

I've always been of the "I can admit that he's hot. I do have eyes, you know. He's a studly man, absolutely GORGEOUS. But really, he does NOTHING for me. ... until he's naked with another guy" persuasion. I dunno, I think that demonstrates that what I love most about him and see as the most attractive to me, personally, is his unabashed, shameless, direct, sure approach to love - physical or emotional - regardless of how it's seen by others. When he demonstrates it, I love him. When he's being physically intimate with another man, I find him sexy. When he's longing for his Doctor, or being sweet (mostly to Ianto), I think he's the most romantic thing ever.

So. While this scene didn't really do that much for me (I'm still heartsore over Ianto, I'll admit, I wasn't ready for him to fall in love again... even if it did happen before Ianto, that wasn't my perspective), I do know how you mean with Barrowman being attractive, but not attracting... if that makes any sense?

I think I'm well in the minority that finds the Jack/guy whose name I can't recall cringe-worthy rather than erotic. Jack was a bit of a lovable rogue before but this scene made me want to shower. Perving on a woman without her consent and describing fucking her to get a man into bed? It's... weird. And their whole relationship and how it came about made their story a bit skeevy, tbh.

I'm aware most fans are OMGBOYSARENEKKID!! and love these scenes but they kind of put me right off Jack.
