I sorta feel you on this OP. Although I don't ship anybody save Kotetsu and his late wife, I think your secret is pretty true as someone who likes both guys/guys and guys/girls.

...I just don't get the overwhelmingly fujoshi heaven Tiger & Bunny fandom has created. In fact I believe it's pretty obvious Kotetsu has bro-zoned and kid-zoned all the other NEXT colleagues in his life, including Barnaby. They're all his friends and extended family by series end, but as romantic interests...I don't see it and neither did Kotetsu apparently.

Unfortunately, unpopular opinions will always be ignored in fandom.

It's two characters who have a very close relationship and strong mutual regard for each other, which is a failsafe recipe for shipping in almost any fandom, het or slash. While it's 99% assured to never happen in the actual show, the staff has done some good-natured teasing and it was never explicitly shut down, so fannish imaginations are free to run wild as they tend to do. Maybe things would be different if we'd gotten a bit at the end where Kotetsu goes, "It's good to be back in the heroing business, eh, my COMPLETELY PLATONIC CHUM. It's fortunate that there is NOTHING REMOTELY HOMOEROTIC ABOUT OUR INTERACTION AND NEVER WILL BE, or else the way you're carrying me around might become slightly awkward!" and Bunny responds, "Too true, Kotetsu-san, and I simply can't imagine why anyone would draw unfortunate conclusions about our BROTHERLY RELATIONSHIP, because the very idea of it being anything more than that is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. Oh, it is to laugh!" :V

I mean, romance was not a huge part of the series to begin with so expecting it to be addressed at all would be slightly unrealistic, but fans have been interpreting lack of outright contradiction as permission to play with the sand in the sandbox since probably the dawn of time.

LOL, unpopular opinions are usually overlooked everywhere because they're unpopular. We all have our uncommon interpretations from time to time unless we're extremely boring people and there's no reason to whine about it.
