*gives up on being anonymous*Awwww! *rewatched that episode* That's in the book I've been reading too - it didn't quite happen that way but it was very similiar. And kissing did occur - just when they were told France had actually signed a treaty of alliance with America.
This episode of the show stands out though because Lafayette's hair isn't powdered! XD

The whole Washington vs Gates thing was intense! It's a great book!
Very true! (And he tried this twice by the way.) He does! He really does! I've recently obtained the movie "La Fayette" which is from 1962. It was made in France and the actor for Lafayette is the hottest red head ever. He also makes a great Lafayette! All the American characters were played by Americans too, so half of the dialogue was in English and the rest was in French. (Obviously the French was dubbed over for US release.) IMDB says it's supposed to be 158 minutes long but my copy - which looks as legit as a VHS from the 60s can look - is only 85.
Sadly it isn't on DVD and France has forgotten all about it...as did whoever released it over here. It's a shame because it's a rather decent movie!

Either way, the VHS is not cheap nor easy to come by these days. I hope to send off my copy to one of those turn VHS into DVDs places and when I do that, I might be able to upload it somewhere so other people can see it. It's a shame that it's gone forgotten this long. =( Though the scene changes were abrupt and jarring (maybe this is because they cut half the movie from the US VHS release, I don't know) it's a really good movie. Definitely dated but still good because there's no need for historical films to be hip and modern!

I wish I had money/a way to watch VHS. If you do follow through with converting it to DVD and putting it up online, do you mind sharing? :3? Exactly, that's why I like them so.
