Actually having highschoolers act like highschoolers and not 30-somethings is kind of refreshing. That said, the show is kind of boring.

I actually thought that in the latest episode, when things went very very wrong it was pretty mature that they ACTUALLY WENT AND GOT AN ADULT. I don't think I've ever seen that happen on another teen show.

I don't know what show this is, but infantilizing teenagers is a problem in a lot of media. People tend to see teens as overgrown children, and it's frustrating.

I only watched the pilot (and that was for work, so don't judge me), but haven't there only been, like, six episodes or something? They should be maturing ALREADY??

I know what you mean, but considering the source I wasn't surprised. And there are a lot of teens that do act like 12 year olds anyways. We all like to think that when we were 16 we acted maturely, but I admit that I had my moments when I was completely immature and did stupid shit. But it would be nice if they didn't act like that all the time and actually learned from their mistakes. Hopefully the characters will grow up by the end of the season.

I actually hate this series. It's only very loosely based on the books, and they could have done so much more with it. Instead it's awkward, badly written, and when they could have had an intelligent and level-headed brunette as the lead, they went with blonde. It pisses me off.
