(Googles)

"Schizoid personality disorder (SPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness and sometimes (sexual) apathy, with a simultaneous rich, elaborate and exclusively internal fantasy world".

Symptoms include:

"prefer solitary occupational and recreational activities"

"vulnerable to esoteric movements owing to a strong need to belong"

"capable of passionate endurance in certain spheres of interest"

"secret voyeuristic interests"

"vulnerable to erotomania"

"asexual, sometimes celibate"

"tendency towards compulsive perversions"

"engrossed in fantasy"

"autistic thinking"

Haha, wow, this reads like a run down on half of fandom.

Glad it helped though OP.

I'm glad the OP got the help that they felt that they needed; my only problem with personality disorders (and this is in the labeling, not the condition itself) is that they are an assortment of what the people that wrote the DSM felt comprised a disorder. This is a similar institution that once said homosexuality was a disorder that required treatment. If a person is bothered by these things then seeking help is definitely good. However, I worry that by making a personality type a pathology we are sending the message that the way some is and feels is wrong. And that's a dangerous position to be in.
