Studio wars are so pointless. It's one thing to like one studio over another (for example I happen to like Dreamworks' stuff better than anyone else's, especially the more recent things they've come out with like HTTYD and the Kung Fu Panda movies) but can't we all just admit that every studio has movies that were phenomenal and movies that were utter trash? And that every studio tends to have a different way of doing things so it's pointless to compare them?

Not too long ago when you tried to say you actually HATE a Pixar movie though people would dog pile you. (I mean I don't like Up much beyond the first ten minutes, OR that while I initially liked WALL-E I honestly got tired of it after watching it a few times and wouldn't care if I never watched it again. Also Monsters Inc misses a few things for me in attaining 'perfection' so to speak even if I do like it overall). At most in terms of criticism it seemed all you could say was Cars was their weakest film, though not bad in some circles- as if somehow Pixars feelings will be hurt from such talk, which on top of the paper cuts from swimming in their pools of dollar bills was simply ~unbearable~.

Pixar doesn't give a damn that I, just one person, personally doesn't care for some of their movies. But their fans sometimes act that way in some places.

With Cars 2 (which I have yet to see but hear is not that good) however... people are a little less... rabid about Pixar I suppose? Still god forbid you dislike or even hate a movie personally moving for them outside of that movie. Particularly Pixar.

Haha, I hear that. I like a lot of Pixar's films but personally I can't really stand to sit through Wall-E, Ratatouille or Cars (obviously), unlike something like Up or the Toy Story movies. And I actually really REALLY dislike the vast majority of Ghibli movies on a storytelling level (they're always phenomenal visually though) but oh lord I try to never mention that because people hate when you criticize Ghibli @_@

People are always going to have their opinions and take differing ones as personal attacks even if they really aren't, I guess.
