#24: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I'm only like four episodes into Season 3, and I already really, really like Martha (and kind of honestly want to smack the Doctor for the up-and-down rebound he's treating her to). I think I might like her better than Rose -- which isn't to say I disliked Rose, and neither character negates the other.

Actually, sadly, I think I'd blame fandom for a lot of my lukewarm feelings towards Rose these days. Yes, the Doctor loved her, whether romantically or not -- that doesn't make her some infailiable superwoman or perfect sweetheart. I like her because of her faults, and the fandom would have me believe she had none. :\

If you think you love her now, wait until you see some of the later episodes! Especially in the Human Nature/Family of Blood two-parter.

*is using this icon because I've only just now realized that I lack Martha or Team Tardis icons. Oh noes!*

And I kinda agree with you on the Rose thing. :|

We're hoping to get to those tonight! \o/ At the very least, I will, come hell or roommate disappearing on me. XD [has like, two DW icons, neither of which fit the situation XD]

It's just sort of ... yeah, I like that Rose is not instantly forgotten now that she's out of the picture, and I like that the Doctor is rebounding -- even if I dislike how it's tangling things up with Martha -- but. BUT. While Rose was a fun character, most of fandom seems obsessed with putting her on a pedestal. That's well and good if you're writing from the Doctor's pov, but when it bleeds through into the voice of the narration, er. Bleh.

As a result, I'm not liking Rose as much as I used to, which is sad. D:
