#2 and #31...

(Anonymous) 2007-06-27 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
... refer to the same person. The one who made the original secret in 31? Is the stalker I'm referring to in #2. Unfortunately, said stalker will no longer look at this comm. (Oh, and whoever made #31? I so wish I'd known this ahead of time or I'd never ever EVER have started talking to her. I'm sick of being stalked.)

...... any suggestions? I'm fucking desperate here. I'd tell her to her face but she'd prolly cut herself or threaten to jump off a cliff.

I'm probably going to regret this, but... well, I've gotten the balls to actually post something to my real LJ telling her flat-out to go away. if this doesn't work, though... I'll be begging for help. xD

I always feel callous when I say this, but the only advice I can come up with is: You aren't her mother or her psychiatrist. As such, you have no moral or legal obligation to put up with someone who is effectively emotionally abusing you, even if they don't mean to.

If you can, change your phone number, and don't give her the new one.

The only person you are obligated to make happy is yourself. If you honestly think she would hurt herself, contact the authorities. Perhaps she really does need mental care. If not, maybe she needs a wake-up call to snap out of this behavior.

No, you're right. My problem is that I'm a total pushover and can never get up the nerve to tell people how I really feel. Which is bad for me and for them. she's been told this before, that she's too stalkerish, but it doesn't seem to sink in... maybe telling her one more time will help.

For a long time I was the same way, and honestly I still kind of am. But just 'putting up' with that kind of behavior is like you're telling them it's perfectly okay. Even if they don't change after you tell them what's wrong and walk away, at least you tried and they have one less person enabling them. (Of course, knowing this doesn't make it any easier to tell them to screw off.)

Maybe it'll help, maybe not, but once you've told her it's officially Not Your Problem anymore. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
