The fandom is so small and full of badfic the only things to do are re-read the good ones until you've almost memorized them or write your own, (which may or may not fall into the badfic.)

I did both because it was driving me crazy. I've lost count how many times I've re-read the few good ones I've found. (I think DR is on 10 or so.) I swear if I see one more slutty Gaara or drunken pervert Lee I'll throw something. Oops, didn't mean to rant at a stranger. >_>

No, no. I feel your pain.

It's the art that keeps me going, really. There is so much art, and nearly all of it is completely lovely. I have yet to write or draw anything 'cuz I'm just getting into the fandom and I'm not fond of my writing. But, maybe one day, I will try.
