Think Anon may be referring to the fact that Gervais is in deep shit atm with fans & disability groups alike for claiming that the word "mong" [ie "mongoloid" & an old, abusive term for those with Down's Syndrome] is no longer considered offensive...except, he says, by "the uptight" among us. Well, yeah, Gervais has pretty much always been horrifically offensive like that. I agree that he deserves flak, but freedom of genuine laughter (which is what the OP feels they have in common with Gervais) isn't something you ought to shame the OP over.

Laughs are a funny thing that you can't control how they sound. Not true laughter. I've never had a problem with my own, but I find it interesting listening to other's. Like hearing a celebrity's during a blooper reel or an interview and watch them on film to hear if they're genuinely laughing in the scene or not.
