I downloaded it the other day but after this secret I'm a little afraid to play it... but I still want to.

(Not that I ever seem to make time to do stuff besides wasting time on the internet, but that's my problem... XD)

It's really not... that scary, in my opinion? I guess it depends. I'd say it's just more spooky and creepily atmospheric than flat-out frightening. It's like you'll wander into a place with a bunch of freaky looking designs and landscapes all around you and eerie music. All of the "scary" events you kind of have to trigger and know they're there and how to see them anyway, you're probably not going to run into anything that'll really freak you out just by wandering around (which is what you spend most of the game doing). There's a couple of mildly disturbing things like Monoko and FACE, but they're still really not too bad, at least I don't think so. Monoko looks too cartoony to be really scary I think, in fact I more feel bad for her, since she looks like she's really sad and suffering.

I say give it a try! And if you're nervous, play with a friend nearby together. That's always more fun anyway~

I managed to play the first four Silent Hill games, so I imagine I should live through this one.

It doesn't really have much of a story, actually, outside of "Girl named Madotsuki is trapped in her apartment (or doesn't want to leave for some reason) and can only go to sleep and explore her really strange and bizarre dreams". The rest you're kind of just left to decide for yourself what it all means, there isn't even any dialogue. As a result there's TONS of theories about what the actual explanations of what everything Madotsuki sees in her dreams is, but that's one of the most fun things about it is how people interpret it.

I hope you like it! A lot of people call it Earthbound meets Silent Hill, so if you're a fan of Silent Hill, I think you'll enjoy it.
