The problem isn't that they chose not to warn, or who they chose to have doing it, or the bad writing, or with them choosing having her sister to LEAVE Diva in that situation as her sister had been previously shown to be incredibly caring, loving, and very concerned for Diva's well being. Those ARE problems, but the real problem was that this subject matter is not something that fits into this comic.

This was a comic that started out as a cute, childish, very bubblegum and candy kind of comic. It was a little girl who didn't want to be 'evil' as she was supposed to be, she wanted to be good. She ends up with a magic wand and has to learn about it, about what it can and can't do, and she picks up on it all surprisingly quickly.

It was all very... cute. And charming. Those first comics were what drew ALL of the fans in. Then for some reason the comic got another writer (or so I've been lead to believe), and he turned it on its head. With very little to no warning the comic went into a time skip and became a teen drama, which was already upsetting fans. We didn't know these characters anymore, they seemed wildly OOC from who they had been and we hadn't been given any time to learn about them.

Then they pull... this. No warning, no real explanation. All we can think is that it's being done for drama, shock value, which is NOT a reason to have a character raped or sexually assaulted in a comic. If you have to do it it should be done because it's important to the plot, or for character development FOR the plot. Not because you want to shake your readers up a bit.

And on top of that the new writer posted a VERY assholish comment about how the fans (apparently 1,580 of which he 'estimates' have been sexually assaulted') need to shut up and deal. It's no wonder people have problems with what's gone on, yah?
