May I ask more about it?

I'll most likely keep on watching the show, since I'm having quite a bit of fun thus far, but would like to avoid a possible trainwreck in the future.

I know this question wasn't to me so hope it's okay to jump in with an answer. I love the pacing on Vampire Diaries, stories don't get dragged out. It's pretty much: set-up, reveal, resolution. Of course there are story arcs but every time something happens the writers introduce something else.

People have favourite characters and will of course prefer the episodes their favourites are in but I think everyone gets a decent amount of screen time and character development. On a personal note I've never once been disappointed by an episode of Vampire Diaries.
