it's kind of hard to compare tf2 to something like the half life or portal franchises, because both of those run on (REALLY GOOD) detail-heavy storylines and a particular universe that they're both attached to.
TF2 doesnt really fall into either of those catagories.
then again i'm the same way; i wanted to get into tf2 but i just never did, and i feel like it's a little late now

Mabye that's the problem. Deep storylines were what he feel fore.

This game has a lot of stuff on the website and whatnot, but in game story is nonexistent.
