I was referring to my own personal conception of an 'ideal woman'. Naturally, other people will have their own. Do you not think that people should have ideals and standards to hold themselves to, in order to better themselves and strive towards a healthy, positive goal?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'we are not a monolith'. That we're not uniform clones of each other? I totally agree with that, if that's what you mean. Please do correct me if you meant something else.

Oh, please, try more with your condescension.

You say "ideal womanhood", as in "this is how to be a real woman!", it can be misinterpreted. Wanting to better yourself is fine, but I find the concept of an "ideal" very asinine, we are only human after all.

My apologies, it should be "monolithic", as in: "...unchanging structure that does not permit individual variation."

I apologise if I sounded condescending. I honestly was simply curious about whether you believed in ideals or not. Personally, I do, but if you don't, that is completely your choice.

Of course, I agree with you there. Individual variation is the spice of life, and it would be absurd to think all humans could fit a single mold. Human nature simply does not work that way.
