I also agree that people can just be friends, and that's fine if you don't want to read fic for that pairing. (I don't read Doctor/companion fic for that reason, as an example from my fandom.)

However, it's also not reasonable to decide the rest of the world has to see things the same way you do. Not everyone's views on friendship are the same as yours, for example. In my own personal real life, I am currently best friends with my ex-husband (which Hollywood believes is impossible), and I have had sex with one of my closest (straight) female friends. Relationships are not always neatly delineated between FRIENDS and FUCKING.
