I just thought your reply was really over the top. Condescending, dripping in sarcasm, etc. and reading the whole conversation, it seemed like the guy in question was kind of an idiot but not necessarily misogynistic. Maybe he is - I don't know where he was coming from at all - but I don't think he said enough for anyone to determine what his underlying attitudes are.
