I think everyone assumes I'm just too shy to show them what I've been writing. Thankfully I have an actual original novel in the works that I can say I've been working on when they wonder why there isn't a single finished product I would let anyone else read, but that excuse can only be used sparingly.

I think some of my fanfic is pretty decent, but i can't ever show it to my family because I would never hear the end of it if they learned that I shipped anthropomorphic representations of landmasses.
