this mindset has always kind of bothered me. I mean I don't care if it's just a preference over old vs. new, like the secret pretty much means.
But I have friends who refused to play the newer games because their summons weren't the same, and I've seen people who hated the new games for this reason and only this reason.

There's a myriad of reasons to dislike it that don't include the summons. They need to at least try to play it before judging it harshly imo.
