It's hypocritical for her to sing "Born that Way" at all. You already mentioned that she tried to make it under her own name and wasn't as well received and resorted to changing her image. Clearly she wasn't "born that way" and it is a gimmick.

I fucking hate people who literalize the term "born that way." Like, there are lots of things to criticize about her, are you really going to go that far to just being stupid?

You are not born into a style. It's talking about sexuality.

Jesus. By that logic, is a queer hypocritical for singing born this way if they've dyed their hair? Switched styles somewhere between kindergarten and college? Give me a fucking break.
