The way I look at it is this: every girl is pretty. Beautiful, even. I hate hate HATE the subjective standards women are held to as if they're truly objective. And I certainly agree that it isn't a priority for every girl.

Yes, but even said like that--every girl is pretty--what if I don't want to be pretty? I am anyway even if I don't want to be and intentionally shoot for being anything but?

I don't know. I agree that it's entirely subjective.

Ah, good point. Point taken.

Even with that, though, if a girl tries not to be pretty, some people might still think she is. (Same with guys.) And a girl defined as "conventionally beautiful" (as much as that phrase annoys me) might still be seen by some as unattractive. It's all subjective.

...I feel like there's something more to say but I can't put my finger on it...
