Actually, no, i assume she is female because to me it seemed more that way. A bit in the "Every girl is beautiful!" attitude i often meet here. But i admit i think 2/3 of the people here are female, so...

I don't know, it just rubs me the wrong way when i read stuff like that, reminds me too much of an attitude like "Boyfriends should always pay, always sleep on the couch after a fight and are always the ones supposed to apologize". I just hate stuff like that, as if now, while we are working on equality, too much women seem to think men should be their slave. I get that there is still too much we have to fight for in that regards, but that doesn't mean we should be expected to be trated like spoiled little princesses. And that is what the secret reminded me of, that entitlement. If it would have been "Everyone deserves to be pretty", fine, i can get behind that, but apparantly there are women out there who think they are actually better then men. Fucking hell, where is the equality suppossed to come in there?

I hate this attitude but I think it's way different than "every girl is beauiful." That attitude is a bit wishful thinking, but it's more used as a defense against girls mocking each other based on appearance, and boys who are douches and think girls are only worth anything if they're pretty. It's a way of saying "Every girl deserves to feel like she matters in this world, and be who you want to be, who cares about the haters?" I don't see it as entitlement at all.

That "boys always pay" part, though, definitely is entitlement, and it drives me bonkers.
