Same reason there is hate for a lot of these books: It's really damn hard to recognize the character we've known for decades.

I'm sticking it out until they do something horribly insulting, though. Largely because of the art (huge fan of both Jurgens AND Perez), and because I don't think JT Krul has anywhere to go but up after Rise of Arsenal. ^^;

Krul is out after issue 4 (I think) and had been replaced by Ann Nocenti. She's supposed to be awesome so *fingers crossed*

...Oh. And here I was hoping I COULD regain some faith in Krul. I kind of liked him right up until the horror mentioned above. ^^;

Is the artistic team staying the same? I'd be kind of depressed to lose Jurgens.

Huh. That...sounds kind of hopeful. If nothing else, it seems like she's at least thinking about the character in terms of how he could interact with the DCnU, instead of simply creating a character that fits with the DCnU and picking an existing name out of a hat.

Maybe she'll make him read a bit less like a less interesting Tony Stark. I'd like that.

I like the part when they asked about Ollie's goatee and now she's worried about becoming obsessed with it's presence. She seems to be approaching it with excitement and humor, something desperately needed.

No prob, glad you liked it. And now to hunt my old hard drive for my GA icons!

I guess that makes sense, but I'm a new reader and only know about Ollie through the DCAU (Justice League) so I'm not as intense about that @_@ I can see where there are some problems with the book, but there's such a hatred for it that I actually feel for things like Red Hood, so...
