I enjoyed the books and movies, but I'm not a *huge* fan of this series like some. However I totally *get* why people love it. I think that the Harry Potter series has literally brought so much magic to our world.
I am studying to become a librarian and I think that inspiring someone to really love reading is one of the best gifts that you can give a human being, and that's what Harry Potter did for an entire generation! My sister, for example, *never* read for pleasure before she read Harry Potter and now she does all the time. That's powerful stuff.
Thanks HP and OP for reminding us that magic is real.
