I love finding crack pairings that authors can somehow make work. To this day, the most well-written ship fic I've ever come across in HP was Percy Weasley/Mad-Eye Moody.

Gladly! Maybe it just hit all of my buttons, but "The Fisher King" by Delphi is wonderful.

It's a smut fic, but captures both Percy (who happens to be my favorite character) and Moody wonderfully; Percy is appropriately stuffy, repressed, angry, but still caring and nervous underneath the surface. Moody is gruff and dirty, his paranoia less of a joke and more the way he views his entire world. Plus the whole tone of it is just warm and heavy. Delphi is a great writer overall, lots of cool weird pairings, but Fisher King is the one I keep coming back to, and I wish she wrote more Percy fic.
