11. My God, I hear you. I almost fell in hate with Athrun/Cagalli myself, so stupid the more rabid fans were. Of course, not every AsuCaga fan is rabid and stupid, but seeing the crapload of Meer and Meyrin bashing and the bad romance fics where Cagalli abandons her people to run into Athrun's arms... No. *pets*

The sad thing is that, at least in the fandom corner I was in, the Meer bashing only started to die down after she took the bullet for Lacus. Beforehand, practically everyone hated Meer, and NOT only for the AsuCaga thing; lots of people called her "whore" for her clothes, "psycho" for her emotional unstability, and "selfish" for preferring to be Lacus due to her low self-esteem. And just *after* Meer's death, people took her seriously.

There are bad apples everywhere, and no one is completely innocent. I'm a Meyrin and Meer diehard fan who is actually *embarrassed* for the the Cagalli bashing, even if I don't really like AsuCaga (I prefer them as friends than as lovers, that's all). :/
