I hope you distance your mental well being from it pretty soon. I remember when I first discovered 4chan, and I had a honeymoon period too, but it's a massive group of people with no accountability. They are going to end up saying something that will hurt you.

Yeah, never get the idea that these people are actually your friends. The minute they spot a weakness or opening they will tear you to pieces with unholy glee. And laugh about it.

But then if you are part of this com anyway, you already know that. And you probably do it to others.

it was more than a "honeymoon period", i was into 4chan for a while, but eventually the misogyny and shit just became too much for me. i also don't like it when people act like the whole of 4chan is equivalent to /b/, but i'm not about to defend its integrity either.

This. I'm a /co/mrade myself, and while that board has it's own failings, it and most of the other boards are all their own animals.

Of course, I started on /b/, which probably explains for anybody who actually noticed why I sometimes become a gigantic asshole (where did the butthurt anon here who hated me go anyway? I miss the venom)

It's been three years for me. I've been pissed off at people on there plenty of times, but a couple of the boards (/tg/ especially) are enjoyable enough that I can pretty easily hang out there.
