Which plot points were they?

Mainly the ones relating to the Jack showing up and going WELP I KEEL YOU EXILES with none of their character arcs really resolved, and at the same time Snowman deciding WELP I DIE NAO for no apparent reason whatsoever. (And yes, I've read Andrew's responses to these issues on Tumblr, but frankly they really only make it worse.)

Yeah, killing off the exiles really bothered me too. Especially WV, since it seemed like he was supposed to be the destined one to fight Jack Noir.

I... actually strongly resisted the idea that WV would be the one to get the ring at first :\ It never played into his character type or arc at all; he was always a pacifist and a democrat, not a warrior. Besides, he had no reason to be out for Noir's blood, unlike PM. I had really been rooting for PM to get the ring all along.

Which she did. In the worst possible way she could have got it. :/

I don't feel satisfied. Just trolled. I guess that satisfies Andrew, though.

That's true, PM getting the ring does make more sense, but yeah it just feels like trolling that WV had to die for it to happen. I mean, WV was a pretty well-developed character and killing him off so suddenly like that was just bad writing. I really can't even believe he's dead because it makes so little sense.

I really get the impression that Andrew was bored with the characters and killed them because he had no idea what to do with them anymore. He pulled that with the Murderstuck arc, too.

...really? i thought he just wrote something along the lines of "PM brought him along with hope of reviving him," which made it sound ambiguous.

Hmm, maybe. The exact quote is "She brought WV, likely with the hope that he may survive," which to me says that he's not dead. He also says that PM drags WV's body to safety, which is pretty ambiguous. But then he also says that Jack has killed every major character "with maybe a few exceptions, like PM," and doesn't mention WV...I just know that when I first watched it, I assumed WV was dead and that made no sense to me, and then I read the recap and it implied that WV might not be dead, which does make sense to me.

That's true. The implication was he was still alive at the time (or at least PM thought so). But he may not survive - he may die from his wounds, and that has yet to be seen.

And she probably had more than one motive to "bring his body to safety" - one, keep him safe in case he survives, and two, even if he was dead she'd probably want to save his body until she has time to bury it or w/e carapaces do with their dead.

I was the same, I thought he was dead at first, but after reading the recap it's unclear.

It occurs to me, and mind this is pure speculation, but WV is also a pawn that made it to the end. Against his own will, he could well become a king.

We've only seen one creature sofar actually hurt Bec Noir. And while PM Likely can as well, we might have a case of "evenly matched stalemate for eternity" here if they just trade blows. But, if she can get his ring off...

Well, maybe the foreshadowing all along was just WHICH ring WV'd wear.

I like the exiles and all, but come on now. What character arcs? The only exiles with character arcs were WV and PM, and it's likely WV is still alive if Andrew bothered with PM lugging around his body. As for Snowman, the reason for her death is obvious. It was obvious ever since her introduction, which literally told us "Killing Snowman will end the universe." This is a story where a critical plot point was the simultaneous destruction of two universes. What did you THINK was going to happen to Snowman?

I'm not sure why you would think that really. The only carapaces that didn't seem like complete plot devices to me were WV and PM. The rest, Snowman included, seemed like they were just there to move the plot along. Which isn't to say that fleshing them out in fanon isn't fun, just that expecting canon to go along with it seems silly.

For me, it's more the sense of okay, this is a series that I got into because of the high main body counts, I like not knowing what will happen next.

Then turned out none of the deaths really mattered anyway. It's all for the great God Tier and, meh.
