I think people have pretty much started to use "Mary Sue" as a substitute for "character I don't like".

Which is stupid and wrong. I love Kenzi, but the show already centers around her quite a bit. Her relationship with Bo is the reason I watch, not her quips and one-liners.

So totally agree! I want to know more about Kenzi and her criminal connections (just so I can hear her speak Russian some more XD)!

Bo could have been an interesting character but her attitude is seriously infuriating : she's been killing random people since she ran away and yet manages to adopt a holier-than-thou attitude towards other Fay who kill humans to survive. On top of that, she constantly treats traditions and people of the Fay as "freaks" and "weirdos" as if her power is somehow more classy... Not to mention that she keeps putting other people's lives in danger without ever considering the impact of her words or actions.

Yeah, but Bo tried to NOT kill humans and only did it accidentally, whereas she looks down on Fae who are just all, 'welp, it's a human, no biggie.' And Bo hardly thinks of all of the Fae as being "freaks," only some of them (and it's not like the Fae community in general doesn't have its own prejudices).

Bo and Kenzi share pretty much the same view of the Fae world in general which makes sense because Kenzi is human and Bo was raised as being a human. It's not like Bo is just acting like a total dick about this and Kenzie is all a-okay.

And Kenzi puts other people's lives in danger too and often just jumps into things without considering the consequences (the foot soup, Baba Yaga, etc). It's not like she's all that much better than Bo just because once an episode she gets to where the Smart And Insightful Hat and talks sense into Bo (or others).
