I kind of hate it because its fans do stupid shit like this. It's not the first time Homestuck fans have taken over something that could've been ok and ruined it with their obnoxious over use of Homestuck. To me, they're the reason we can't have nice things.

Homestuck fans didn't "ruin" Newgrounds. They crashed it for a short period of time, not that that's okay, but they didn't ruin it and they didn't mean to crash it, and Newgrounds probably got a lot of good publicity after this. (I, who didn't watch the flash until half a day later, know I checked it out after, and I'd never really looked into it before.)

Yeah, I'm not going to deny that Homestuck fans are capable of being seriously annoying (see: the comments of any YouTube video involving buckets) - but nobody went to Newgrounds that night with the intention of crashing it, and people figured out workarounds pretty quickly after the site went down but before Andrew got a download up.

I wasn't talking specifically about NG, but in general. Whenever I've come across something that was ok and had some sort of anon aspect to it (which is pretty much everything) it'd get flooded with Homestuck fandom shit. Various chat sites, image posting sites, and forums. The Homestuck fandom will saturate the shit out of it.

Ah, well I was specifically talking about the NG aspect of it, since that's the example that was used. So far I haven't really been involved in the forums and don't know much about it.

And, you know, it's a fad. It will run its course.
