31. I MOSTLY AGREE WITH YOU YAY. I like Gin and Ichigo but the rest of the characters in that picture are kind of meh. Especially Hitsugaya. I hope I'm not asking for flames when I say I don't understand why he's so popular. At all.

31. I just find the interaction between him and Matsumoto funny. However I'm wondering if some kind of confrontation is being planned between Hitsugaya and Aizen in the future. Remember Aizen speared Hitsugaya's best friend Hinamori right through the gut and yet Hinamori still worships the ground he walks on (stupid girl). That could be one reason why so much attention is being paid to Hitsugaya right now.

Yeah but at least Kira acknowledges that Gin is a traitorous bastard. Hinamori is convinced that her precious Aizen is innocent and being controlled by someone else. And then she begs poor Hitsugaya to SAVE Aizen.

That's 'cos I suppose Kira actually has some sort of spine when Gin's not there polluting his mind. Momo on the other hand was obsessively in love with Aizen since the moment she saw him. That and in the manga she honestly doesn't remember what Aizen did to her. When she wakes up she's just convinced he was being manipulated by Gin -- 'cos come on Gin seems evil even though I think he's absolutely adorable especially in the Arrancar Research bits. Everyone thinks he's creepy, but I just think he's the cutest thing. I want to bring him home and pet him like a little fox ... and I'm going to shut up now and not act like a crazy fangirl. ::dies.::

The problem I have with Hitsugaya is that he doesn't stand out on his own; he seems to need another character around to make him mildly interesting, and even during the Hitsugaya-Hinamori and Hitsugaya-Matsumoto interactions it's always the other person driving them. He's just so... flat. Nothing to him.

I'm really dying for ANYONE from Soul Society to interact with Aizen right about now. And who knows, maybe if Hitsugaya's the one confronting him then maybe he'll get some real character development. x(

I think it's just a reaction against the ever increasing tendency these days for some people in fandom to take a really tough, bad-assed male and turn him into a bishie weeping, angst-ridden, uke.
