4. Makes me some kind of happy, but at the same time, I always feel sorta bad when someone's already in an RP as a character and has their 'ships, and the person who joins as the other half really hates on it. It feels awkward. :/

6. Hahahaha Venture Brothers is full of close bonds and gay friendship everywhere. If you don't like it, don't read/look at the fanstuff, nobody needs to stop doing stuff just because you don't like it. :D

15. I do that too, but I actually like it, because I'm a writer and it's cool to actually analyze the books I read. It can be fun. ♥

I love people who don't bother with context. :D Because omg it's alternate versions of characters, the idea that there can never be angst ever bcs it's a kids show is ludicrous especially if you understand any of the current situations (older!them coming in from a side canon revealing that Leonardo is murdered and Donatello turns evil, among other things?). LOLOLOL you can't put angst in Batman, have you never seen the old TV show?! And obviously they can NEVER have human forms EVER, even when there's a cursed spring that is used by many other people to give alternate forms, and if they did, they wouldn't be cute! Are you crazy? That's just silly.

Maybe you should take a few steps back from fandom, get over what is being done in a ROLEPLAY, don't take or present things out of context, or GTFO yourself.

30. It's not the best book ever, but it's far from as bad as you're painting it. And the idea that people should only make money off their OWN original works? Wow, you must not be interested in many books or (especially) movies, I suppose. I could give examples, such a WEST SIDE STORY, etc, but I'm bored now. |D

31. That actually happens to me a lot in a series. I mean, I don't usually dislike the more main characters, but they're almost always far from my favorite. What about the characters that aren't as much of the focus but are still really interesting, have fun personalities, etc? That often happens with side characters, I've found, they're quirkier and less "stable" or cliche-ridden than the main characters which the show has to hinge on or the foil characters that don't really do much.

32. Don't know the context, but man, relax. Why shouldn't your fanart effect someone? Or do you only want people who are already established fans of the pairing to like your art? Or do you hate the pairing and it's genart? Or what?

I totally agree with you on that pairing thing. That amused me, but I could never do it... I think I get the most anxiety joining a roleplay from the pairing stuff. Who's going to want to, or not want to?
How many people's feelings I'm going to hurt, with this character.

It is certainly awkward to have to say Character A. is with Character B. when character C. shows up, and wants a pairing. Then when Character D. joins the game - and you have to tell them the same thing.
Or even if you just don't like the pairing at all....

It always makes me feel bad. [/rant.]

Yeah, I feel like that sometimes, but--can't make everyone happy. Honestly, when it's at the point my character A is already in a relationship with B in the RP, I don't feel so bad turning away characters C and D. But especially when it comes down to REALLY popular pairings... like if I was playing Ed from FMA and he wasn't in any relationship, and a Winry showed up, and the mun wanted them to get together but I didn't ship that pairing? Awkwaaaard.

Mostly, though, I've only had a problem with being too quiet. XD If one of my OTPs is rare (or even not rare, in some cases...), I can never, ever come out and ask the mun of the other person if they're up for that pairing unless they blatantly hint they approve, first.

(One of the RP's I'm in actually has a really cool system... I think it asks you to fill out your character's sexuality on the application, or right after you're accepted, and list the pairing/s you prefer with that character. That way there's a place for it, right there up front, and you don't really have to go through any awkward wondering and asking. D:)

That was the problem I had.

I joined a game that had an EdxWin shipper as Winry to play EdxWin, but the Winry was completely inactive so that never happened.

Admittedly, I'm an Elricest shipper, but being friends with the Roy OOC (and figuring I had slim chances of getting an Al that shipped, since we had no Al at all.) we were working on getting Roy and Ed together.

Our Riza player (and mod of the game) was not very happy with this.

Then the Al that joined wound up being an Elricest fan, and I felt bad that I was going against my OTP to turn someone else down, but we were already working towards a RoyxEd pairing.

Then another Winry joined, and she's not into OTP or pairings, but she didn't like her character being alone so she wanted Ed.

Naturally, there was just a boatload of awkwardness all around.

I'm the same way about the shyness. Unless someone's blatant I don't say anything either. But I'm supportive of a lot of various pairings, and there are few that I'm entirely strict about. (I mean ArmstrongxEd, obviously no way; but I don't go around saying Character A. has to pair with Character B. in any fandom.)


That's a neat idea, I'm applying for a comm. that does the same thing, but I personally like the characters to develop feelings on their own, so I'm wary about writing 'I love/hate this pairing' in an RP. Maybe I won't like or I'll really like the way someone plays a certain character.

Either way, I understand completely. Awkwardness abounds. D:
