I was there for the whole cast. Including Demi Moore. But I would have liked it even if I hadn't known who the actors were. It was a ridiculously over-the-top entertaining movie. Which is what I watch movies for.

Not gonna lie, I went to see it for Gackt & thought "This is going to be an entertainingly stupid movie with Gackt in"--but then I completely adored the whole thing. ♥ Is it a Film of Great Substance? Hell no, but who cares, it was gorgeous and weird and hilarious and definitely knew how silly it was.

I'm surprised so many reviews didn't seem to get that the movie wasn't taking itself seriously. In what crazy bizarro world would you have to be living in to assume that this movie wasn't anything more than Kill Bill esque storybook fun?

I know! I kept thinking that too! It's one thing to dislike the movie because you prefer movies with more substance & less silliness, but it's kind of unreasonable to go "This is dreadful because it's not the kind of thing I like."

I have to admit that I did watch it for Gackt (can anyone blame me? he was totally adorable!!) But I think that it was an incredibly entertaining film in and of itself. I can't say it was a "good movie" by the usual standards, but I wasn't bored for a second and for me that's what makes a truly good movie!

Ooh, I didn't know this was out yet. I thought it looked like a funny little popcorn flick and that the visual style was interesting.

I had no idea this movie existed until my flatmate bought the DVD because he thought it would bad-in-a-good-way, but we both ended up enjoying it massively and completely unironically. Wasn't at all what I expected (silly, yes, but it knew it was silly).

So I didn't see it because of any of the cast and liked it anyway! :)
