...TW that shit, yo. Missingno used to give me crazy nightmares. I don't know if it was the look of the thing, or the way that it messed up the music, or the equally good chances of coming across 'M or whatever the other one was that would completely destroy your game if you caught it...

I just had a very strong reaction of EW NO when I saw this secret.

...its a fucking pokemon, I should not still be afraid of a pokemon.

The primary danger of catching 'M is that it's very easy to generate at level 0, and the game freezes if you try to withdraw a level 0 mon.

All the save-file dangers with glitch mons happen and are over when you encounter them.

Thanks for all the Nuggets and stat supplements, too.

Missingno made Pokemon so much easier... I only used it after I'd already beaten the game, though, and was shooting for 100% completion of the Pokedex. x3

I love Missingno. Glitches are simultaneously fun and creepy, and Missingno tops the list, especially in regards to the creepy aspect. I'm irrationally proud of the Ghost-sprite Missingno I caught and keep on my team in Blue (I started the game again with a username of DxyDyzz or something so I could get level 150 Mewtwos and the Ghost-sprite M.)

My Blue version never got messed up when I caught Missingno. (I would catch him every time I played through the game). Is there a reason for that? I keep hearing about people's games getting corrupted. He would just like, evolve into Kangaskhan and it'd be over.

Well fortunately it's only 000 in the Unova dex. According to Bulbapedia, it's national dex number is 494, leaving MissingNo. in it's rightful spot at 000.
