When I was a kid I was afraid that mind readers were a legit possibility and I'd get nervous when my daydreams were too crazy/indulgent. So I have this like, reflex of trying to keep my daydreams sane and ~humble.~ I'm trying hard to break that habit though because sometimes crazy and indulgent is fun.

Well, if mind readers were real anyway, they would not care. Probably everyone thinks crazy/indulgent things all the time. And if you didn't...

they'd know. And they would come.




(I was a bit paranoid as a kid, too. But I made a game of it; hopefully the mindreaders would like my daydreams and everything would be peachy.)

lmao, I did the same thing. I was so convinced that my mother could read my mind that whenever my thoughts drifted into smutty territory, I would glance at her to make sure she wasn't reacting to my depravity and then I would frantically think very loudly about the ottoman empire or something

I'm very relieved to find out others are like me %D I like to listen to music very loudly so potential mind readers can't hear my thoughts. I know they don't exist but I still prefer to play it safe. Just to be sure.

It feels pretty stupid but whatev, at least I'm not wearing tin foil hats!

Ugh this is me too, anon. I had to do this assignment once where we were just supposed to daydream for a while and write about it but I literally cannot let myself do that for a second. Tiring.
