Did we perhaps see a different review? Because he was comparing it to the old one a lot and his bit about the horrible writing of gay people really needed to be said.

I agree. That was one of my favorites of his videos from the last couple months.

Yeah, I really liked his bit about the writing of gay people.

And I haven't seen the remake, but the original Haunting is an amazing film. It's always good to see people appreciating older movies. (-:

I guess I was expecting more from the review, and ended up eing disappointed. Sure he touched upon why it wasn't as good as the original and discussing the representation of gay characters in the 90s was really well done, but there are so many things that could have been ranted on in that movie (it really is dreadful) and he didn't even discuss them.

I was also bothered by his rant over the "power of love" scene, because that's so not what that scene is about. I don't even know where he pulled that from.

Agreed, I thought it was awesome. And he did point out the flaws, but he did so while comparing it to the original, which just made it that much more interesting.
