I'm on several international forums and the absolute worst crime against the English language are always by native speakers. Sure the ESL folk make mistakes you have to puzzle over sometimes, but, by far, it's the American kids that make you cringe and wonder what's wrong with our schools.

I am an ESL speaker too and I don't care if someone uses you or u.

Then again I was also very proud of myself the first time I confused there and their. Now that's a native speaker mistake if there ever was.
