Gah, I'm not really sure what this secret is trying to say, the comparisons are kind of all over the place...but I'm really sorry you're deadlocked in what sounds like a pretty upsetting situation with someone you care about.

This is one of the first "x to my y" secrets that I've actually understood, since most of them come from animes I've never seen. But yeah, I kind of have the same question...pretty unhealthy. insanenoodlyguy put it perfectly in the above comment...

I guess I can understand, to be fair. It's hard to have perspective when you're in an unhappy situation. =(

If you're trying to take the role of some character - indeed, two characters that don't have enough in common to both be something you could do unless you happen to be channeling the Elder Gods - of course you're not going to get much of a relationship out of it.

Okay, so, you say you're selfish, and you say you wanted to be someone's Rose to their John? Okay, I can see where some selfishness could come from that. But then you say you want to be the Feferi to their Eridan? Oh god, I hope you're not one of those people who think Feferi was a huge selfish bitch for leaving Eridan.

Anyway, stop trying to compare your relationship to fictional characters' relationships. If you messed up, it's not because you're the x to their y, it's because you messed up. Try working on that instead of trying to figure out which fictional, fanon relationship you can project your problems onto.

Wow, I'm awfully pissy about this for some reason. I just really hate these "x to my y" secrets that really have nothing to do with fandom.
