I'm pro-adoption, but I'm not against people purchasing a pure bred. They need love too.

What bothers me is when someone spends thousands of dollars on a designer dog that is nothing more than a mutt (i.e: anything who's "breed name" is a conglomeration of two or more regular breeds).

Just a thought: what about breed rescues? Lots of them are purebred, and it can solve the whole "bred vs rescued" issue (at least in my mind; feel free to disagree).
