Carnivale predates True Blood (at least the series, not the books obvs).

Yep! I'm aware. I just meant that True Blood is another HBO fantasy show that predates GoT, and one which is much more mainstream than Carnivale, so people have no excuse to say GoT is the first HBO fantasy show.

So is Carnivale, according to both the text and image of the secret. (I've never watched it- I've heard it referred to as "HBO's Firefly" in terms of the clusterfuck of executive meddling it got, though.)

...yes? The secret is saying that they are annoyed at people saying that GoT is HBO's first fantasy show, and I was pointing out that True Blood is also an HBO fantasy show that precedes GoT, and one which is much less obscure than Carnivale.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I mean, Carnivale was several years ago now and wasn't exactly super popular so one can kind of forgive people not having heard of it, but True Blood? Maybe people think of that as more horror? idk
