Heh, I will admit it definitely makes some things easier! (Iron Boots wheee! Now I can legit say I have no problems with the Water Temple!) The N64 version will always be the definitive version in my heart, just because I have so many happy images of sitting in front of the TV with a bizarrely-shaped N64 controller in my hands, of painstakingly copying art from the guide (I was so sad they didn't do a re-release of the picture of Link sitting on those bricks playing the ocarina, copying that was my first-ever piece of Zelda fanart!) and just... because I've loved it for eleven years now, but the 3DS remake is wonderful :)

Oh man, the room and shop interiors! *LOOKS AT EVERYTHING*

I'm not sure I'd say I prefer the remake to the original, just because the original has nostalgia factor and they did change some lines in the 3DS version in a way that didn't make much sense, but it IS a damn good remake, and it does have some stuff (like the interiors of houses and shops, and having the iron boots RIGHT THERE) that I like better than the original :) And it's so pretty!

...Er, tl;dr, I don't personally agree with you but I can definitely see where you're coming from.
