He deliberately writes plots that involve the main girls exposing themselves (the hotness episodes, for example). He has creepy bts videos (he filmed a video of Ariana's crotch showing, ffs). And if by "connecting to his fanbase," you mean trolling the fanbase, then yes, he does an amazing job of it.

I think iCarly and Victorious are just as mindless as the other crap on TV nowadays. It's just one random plot after another, filled with completely unlikable characters.

You're parroting, darling. I've heard all of that before from other people. I don't avidly watch iCarly these days, so you're going to have to explain to me what "the hotness episodes" are. Don't know anything about that video either (or even who the fuck Ariana is). And trolling the fanbase, how does he do this exactly?

He wrote two episodes, one for each show, revolving around how it was too hot, so obviously there was a ton of skimpy clothing. Ariana is one of the actresses from Victorious. And he only seems to interact with the fanbase to tease them about shipping.

Oh, I remember those. But I also remember it being apart of a summer theme on Nickelodeon and lots of shows were participating. On Victorious, weren't they headed to the beach or something? I seem to remember the guys not wearing much either. I really don't think Dan has much influence on costume design outside of the penny tees... and even if he does, dressing your actresses in skimpy clothes doesn't necessarily make him perverted, especially when it relates to the theme of the actual episode. What about Spencer on iCarly? Wasn't he naked in iGo To Japan? I think I've seen Spencer in nothing but a towel on the show more often than I've seen Carly and Sam showing a little skin. And Gibby and Guppy are almost always shirtless. Does this mean Dan has some perverted boy fantasy too?

As for interacting with the fans, this (http://danwarp.blogspot.com/) is actually what I was referring to (and his Twitter account too). He gives out a lot of behind the scenes information/pictures/videos and likes to make his fans happy. As for the shipping, there was a specific post about that on his site as well here (http://danwarp.blogspot.com/2001/11/to-any-icarly-fan-who-didnt-like-istart.html). Personally, I loved that actual episode. I think fans like that needed a slap in the face.
