(Anonymous) 2011-11-11 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)I once spent 18 months on that train ride (it's much the same as described Wells' Armageddon), but I got off with no pills, no poisons, no therapy, and no attempts to "ride the express." (Sorry. I've been watching too much Riverworld.)
Then again, I am stubborn and just hard-headed enough that my approach was, if the demons wanted to drag my soul down into the pit, I was going to fight them every centimetre of the way.
One day, whatever was off-kilter in my head self-corrected, and that was it, everything was "normal" again. (Yeah yeah normal is a setting on the dryer, etc.) The waiting honestly was the worst part, but it's never happened to me again. Not so far, anyway. But 6 years? Sounds like you've got more will to live than you think you do, nonny.
